5 fabulous half-term days out by train!

1. Looe Pirate Trail

Sat 23 May to Sun 30 Aug

Pick up your FREE trail booklet at Plymouth or Liskeard station then take the scenic trip to Looe for a swashbuckling treasure hunt. Find the crew of adorable pirate characters scattered around the town and harbour, then collect some tasty treasure as your reward.

2. Shore Safari – National Maritime Museum, Falmouth

Sat 23rd – Sun 31st / 10:00am – 4:30pm

What curious creatures will you find with The Rock Pool Project in their mobile rock pool? Each day there will be a chance to learn and uncover more about the sea life in our Cornish waters, including the best ways to explore rock pools and identify the creatures you discover.

3. RAMM, Exeter

Just a two-minute walk from Exeter Central station, there are lots of great family activities at RAMM this half term. Try your hand at weaving circles or make your very own rain stick!

4. Cornish Heritage and Language trail, Cotehele

Sat 23^rd May to Sun 7^th June

Discover activities inspired by Cornish Heritage and Language around the garden at Cotehele. Take on Cornwall-hole (cornhole), Cornish Quoits, and keep an eye out around the house and garden for slates with Cornish words and phrases!

5. Picnics and Pasties – The Box, Plymouth

Inspired by Beryl Cook’s vibrant ‘Picnic at Mount Edgcumbe’ painting, head to The Box to make pasties from air-dry clay and learn how to crimp them in the Simmons Learning Room!
