Honiton Gate to Plate – get there by train

Celebrate East Devon’s finest food and crafts on Saturday 22nd August as Honiton High Street is transformed with stalls and entertainments for Gate to Plate. Visit the event’s Facebook page for a taster of just some of the top local businesses who will be there.

The free, one-day street market runs from 10am until 4pm and is just a short walk from Honiton station, making it easy to get to by train.

Please note: there’s currently a reduced service between Exeter and Honiton – see train times below to plan your trip.

Train times & Fares

Catch the 9:58 from Exeter St Davids or the 10:02 from Exeter Central, arriving in Honiton for 10:28. To get back to Exeter, you can catch the 12:32 (arriving at 13:11), the 14:32 (arriving at 15:03) or the 16:33 (arriving at 17:07).

An adult Off-Peak Day Return ticket between Exeter St David’s and Honiton is £9.60.

Save a third off the above adult fare for you and a friend (with kids travelling for just £2) with a Devon & Cornwall Railcard – just £13 a year for local residents.
