Volunteer with the Railway 200 exhibition train

Do you want to help with the Railway 200 exhibition train ‘Inspiration’ when it visits Newquay station (Mon 6 to Sat 11 April)?

Thousands of people will be visiting the exhibition train, and volunteers are needed. Be part of this great celebration of the country’s railway past, present and future!

Volunteer tasks:

  • Checking tickets
  • Helping with crowd management & queuing  
  • Answering questions about the train (briefing will be provided)
  • Light cleaning tasks at the end of each day

Timings:

Volunteer shifts start at 9.30am and finish at 5.30pm, with a lunch break and regular comfort breaks. Half-day shifts are also available. Volunteers will be supported by two event managers.

You can volunteer for one or multiple days.

Who can volunteer?

The organisers welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and with a range of abilities. No qualifications or prior experience are required. They are committed to providing an inclusive volunteering experience and will make reasonable adjustments where needed to support accessibility.

Volunteering opportunities are open to individuals aged 18 and over. DBS checks are not required for this role.
