Autumn day trips from Dawlish and Teignmouth

The Box, Plymouth

Discover The Box, Plymouth’s award-winning museum and gallery. Just 10 minutes’ walk from Plymouth station, check out the giant naval figureheads, meet the woolly mammoth and even try presenting the news in the Media Lab. Free entry.

National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth

Head to Plymouth’s atmospheric Barbican (a 25-minute walk from the station, but well worth it) to soak up the maritime charm, independent shops and eateries and to visit the fantastic National Marine Aquarium.

RAMM, Exeter

Just a 2-minute walk from Exeter Central station, explore the wonders of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (free entry). Early years ‘beastie bags‘ are available for little ones to add to the excitement. They include a costume to wear, a hand puppet/soft toy, magnifying glass, pair of binoculars and more.
