Late night Christmas shopping in Truro

Late night Christmas shopping comes to Truro this Wednesday – forget parking and go by train.

Shops throughout the city will be open til 9pm for the next four Wednesdays (30 Nov, 7, 14 & 21 Dec 2016). Also open late each Wednesday is the Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair, which runs from 30th November to 4th December. The Fair is at The Piazza, Lemon Quay – just over 10 minutes’ walk from Truro station (see map).

The streets will also be enlivened with entertainers, brass bands and carol singers – see the listings of who is appearing where.

Taking the train

• Trains depart half-hourly from Falmouth Town.
• The journey takes 25 minutes.
• The adult Off-Peak Day Return is just £4.30 from Falmouth (£3.70 from Penryn).
• 5-15 year olds are half price and under 5s free.
• Trains back from Truro depart hourly – just after 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm.
