Barnstaple Christmas lights switch-on

Visit Barnstaple by train on Saturday 19th November for the big Christmas lights switch-on.

With the special offer from Exeter, Crediton and branch line stations, Day Return tickets are just half price (read more).

The lights will be switched on at 6pm by a group of ‘community heroes’ nominated by local residents. This will be the culmination of a packed afternoon of music from local choirs and bands. It all takes place at The Square (just a 10-minute walk from Barnstaple station – see map). Read the full programme and timings.

There will also be a fun fair on The Strand and Santa will be arriving in his grotto in Green Lanes at 10am. The day is organised by Barnstaple Town Centre Management.
