Son et Lumiere

Visit Penryn by train this Saturday evening (1st October) for a sound and light spectacular as part of the town’s Penryn 800 celebrations.

The ‘Son et Lumiere’ event – which is free to attend – will portray 800 years of the town’s history, projected on Penryn’s historic architecture including the Town Hall and Methodist Church. The show will run every 30 minutes between 8pm and 10pm.

Go by train from Truro
Take the 20 04 train from Truro station, arriving in Penryn at 20 18. It’s then less than a 10-minute walk to the Town Hall, one of the main locations (see map).

Trains back are at 21 43 and 22 50. The adult Off-Peak Day Return fare is £3.70, with under 5s free and 5-15 year olds half price.
