Song inspired by the Tamar Valley Line

This article is more than 7 years old.

Children from Calstock school were at Plymouth station on Thursday 9th June to launch a new song which they co-wrote with College Road Primary School in Keyham.

The song ‘Watching the World go by’ was written after the children took a trip on the beautiful Tamar Valley Line and wrote down all they could see out of the window.

Over the course of two days, the two schools worked with performance poet Sally Crabtree from Mousehole, to write, perform and finally record the song.

The project has been part-funded by the Designated Community Rail Development Fund which is backed by the Department for Transport and ACoRP.
