Beat the traffic and travel by train to and from the British Firework Championships in Plymouth on Wed 13 and Thurs 14 August thanks to additional services to Penzance, Gunnislake and Exeter.
The free event will showcase the talent of three top pyrotechnic companies each night as they battle it out to be crowned the champion with stunning displays above Plymouth Sound.
Free entertainment starts from 17:00 with music, fairground rides and refreshment stalls on Plymouth Hoe. The firework displays begin each evening as dusk falls at 21:30. Spectators are advised to arrive early to get the best possible vantage point on Plymouth Hoe.
Plymouth Hoe is a 1‑mile walk from Plymouth station (directions).
23:10 to Penzance (calling at Saltash, St Germans, Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway and then all main line stations en route to Penzance)
23:14 to Gunnislake (calling at all Tamar Valley Line stations)
23:14 to Exeter St David’s (calling at Ivybridge, Totnes, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Dawlish)
23:24 to Exeter St David’s (calling at Totnes and Newton Abbot)
