Free guided walk: Looe’s East Side Story Walk

UPDATE: WALK NOW FULL. On Tuesday 6th May join professional Blue Badge tour guide, Mark Camp, for a fascinating 4.5-mile walk exploring the lesser-known eastern side of Looe.

The walk

The walk begins at 11:05am at Looe Station, where you’ll head uphill into the Parish of St Martin’s, uncovering layers of local history along the way.

Starting near the site of the ancient Domesday manor of Pendrym, the route will take you past the historic parish church, exploring how the growth of tourism expanded the boundaries of Looe. From there, you’ll descend to the charming cove at Millendreath before joining the South West Coast Path for a scenic return journey into Looe.

Expect a mix of town history, countryside views, coastal beauty – and of course, Mark’s expert local insight.

The walk is approximately 4.5 miles and finishes around 3:00pm. It begins with a long, steep climb and is mainly on tarmac surfaces. Please bring a drink, a light lunch, and wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather and terrain.

Please note: dogs are not permitted on the walk.
