Hop on the train and explore the stunning grounds of Cotehele National Trust this Easter holidays! Treat your little ones to a nature-inspired trail across the gardens, complete with a chocolate egg hunt.
9th – 24th April 2022. Open 10am – 4pm (last entry 3:30pm)
The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.
There is no need to book in advance. Please note that normal admission charges apply for non-members.
How to get there
Take the scenic Tamar Valley Line from Plymouth station to Calstock (30 minutes).
From Calstock, it’s a picturesque 1.2-mile walk along the riverside to Cotehele (see directions and map). You can then choose whether to grab some lunch at the barn restaurant next to the main Cotehele house or get started straight away on the trail.
The Off-Peak Day Return fare from Plymouth to Calstock is £6.70 for adults, with 5-15 year-olds half price. Under 5’s go free.
Look up train times and buy your ticket on the Great Western Railway website or app, or at Plymouth station before boarding the train.
