This article is more than 1 year old.

This Sunday (23 July) join ‘Walks with History’ and the Tamara Landscape Partnership on a history walking tour of Bere Ferrers village and explore a short section of the brand new Tamara Way long distance footpath.

This will be followed by a visit to the Tamar Belle Visitor Centre based in the old goods yard of Bere Ferrers railway station. There is also the option of joining for a cream tea* in a beautifully restored railway dining carriage.

Times and details
Meet at Plymouth railway station at 10.45 (train departs 11.10) or at Bere Ferrers railway station at 11.30.

The walk is 3 miles long on an undulating route with short uphill or downhill sections. It includes rough footpaths and there may be muddy sections in places so sensible walking shoes are a must. Please also come prepared for the weather.

Cost
The walk is free other than the rail fare to get to Bere Ferrers – £6.20 Off-Peak Day Return, or £4.05 with the GroupSave discount. The price of the cream tea is £6.00 per person. A joint train & tea ticket is £10.00.
