Hop on the train to Looe this spring for a swashbuckling FREE treasure hunt.
Monday 3rd April to Friday 30th June
The Pirate Captain is about to set sail for the Caribbean but he’s lost his crew. Can you help find them on window stickers around Looe’s town and harbour?
Complete your trail booklet to win some tasty treasure and a sticker of your favourite pirate, plus the chance of a family rail ticket to London courtesy of Great Western Railway.
Before you travel to Looe, pick up your free trail booklet at one of these locations:
They’re in dispensers like this:
Take the train to Looe (runs seven days a week, including Bank Holidays), with great views along the estuary.
Look up train times and buy tickets on the GWR website or app. You can also buy tickets at station ticket offices and ticket machines.
Follow the clues in your booklet to find the nine pirates on window stickers like this one. They're hidden in and around the town’s shops, pubs and restaurants.
It’s 1.5 miles, including the walk to/from the train station. One section includes hopping on the little ferry across to West Looe (£1 per person). This only runs when the tide is high enough (see tide times).
At low tide you can either skip this part (you can still complete the trail without it) or you can walk via the bridge, but this adds a further mile.
Complete the trail to win some tasty treasure and a sticker of your favourite pirate (available at the end of the route until 4pm each day).
You’ll also have the chance to enter a prize draw to win a family train ticket to London, courtesy of Great Western Railway.
Good luck me hearties!
PS Remember to pick up your trail booklet before travelling to Looe.
