Cornwall

CAMBORNE

Kernow Model Railway Centre – specialist model railway shop with huge stock. Online sales.

J Toms & Sons – specialising in die-cast collectors’ model cars.

ST AUSTELL

St Austell Model Centre – mainly specialising in aircraft and road vehicles. No model railways. Online sales.

BODMIN

Bodmin and Wenford Railway – shop based at the heritage railway at Bodmin General station. Specialising in model railways.

American Railroad Centre – specialist importer of American model trains. Online sales.

Devon

PLYMOUTH

Antics – stocks a wide range of models from railways to aircraft, accessories and modelling tools. Online sales.

Chris’ Crafts & Model Railways – craft and model railway shop with a large stock of new and secondhand items. 206 Exeter St, Plymouth, PL4 0NH. Call 01752 665007. Also has an outlet at Plym Valley Railway.

BUCKFASTLEIGH (bus from Totnes)

South Devon Railway – Based at the old Buckfastleigh station on the South Devon Railway, the shop stocks a comprehensive range of model railway items and gifts. Online sales.

NEWTON ABBOT

Bekra Models – traditional model shop, under new management.

CREDITON

Crediton Antiques Centre – usually has a range of secondhand model railway items.

PAIGNTON

Paignton Model Shop – located just across the road from Paignton station and the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, this shop specialises in model railways but also stocks items such as Scalextric. Online sales.

LATEST TRAVEL ADVICE

From 2nd December, if you live in a Tier 3 area you “should avoid travelling to other parts of the UK other than where necessary”. Devon residents are in Tier 2 and should “reduce the number of journeys you make where possible”. Cornwall residents are in Tier 1.
