Fireworks Championships 2024 – get there by train

Beat the traffic by travelling by train to and from the British Firework Championships in Plymouth on Wed 14 and Thurs 15 August thanks to additional services to Gunnislake, Newton Abbot and Liskeard.

The evening’s entertainment

The free event will showcase the talent of six top pyrotechnic companies as they battle it out to be crowned the champion with stunning displays above Plymouth Sound.

Held on Plymouth Hoe, fairground rides and refreshment stalls will be open from 14 00 and live music will start at 17 00. The firework displays generally begin each evening as dusk falls at 21 30. Spectators are advised to arrive early to get the best possible vantage point on Plymouth Hoe.

Plymouth Hoe is a 1-mile walk from Plymouth station (directions).
