Looe’s Festival of Words, a brand-new FREE event for lovers of reading and writing, will be happening Tuesday 1st to Sunday 6th October. With a fantastic range of events from writing workshops to guided walks, there’s something for everyone – and you can get there by train on the scenic Looe Valley Line!
FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER
From 11 00 – 15 00, drop into the waiting room on platform 3 in Liskeard station as it’s transformed into a Literary Lounge! You’ll be invited to create edible poetry, make Parcel Pets and a page for the ever-growing ‘Looe Line Literary Train’ concertina book. All activities free.

SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER
The Literary Train will run from Liskeard to Looe (train times below) and will feature an interactive CreativiTEA Catering Trolley. Choose something off the trolley and create edible art biscuits and poems that will grow into flowers when planted – all inspired by the journey to the Looe Festival of Words! This event is also free to attend, with no booking needed – you do however need to purchase your train ticket either on the train or at the station.
