This article is more than 8 months old.

Hop on the train this Easter, with kids travelling half price (5-15yrs old) and under 5s free! With so much happening across Devon and Cornwall, here are 5 of our top picks:

Cotehele – Easter Egg Hunt

Take the scenic train from Plymouth to Calstock in the Tamar Valley, then walk to Cotehele National Trust to explore their spring gardens and join in with their Easter trail from Friday 29 March – Sunday 14 April.

National Maritime Museum – the Cornish Caretakers

Hop on the train to Falmouth this Easter and join the Cornish Caretakers for a hilarious and informative show as they bring to life six Cornish men and women from history who changed the world.

Looe – Easter Egg Hunts

Can you help the Easter Bunny track down his eggs? Pop along to one of Looe’s easter egg hunts!

RAMM – Creative Drop-in Sessions

A stone’s throw from Exeter Central station, head to RAMM for one of their great drop-in sessions! From dot printing your favourite object to paper weaving elephants. It’s £3.50 per child with free admission to the museum.

The Box – Life underwater

From plankton to seagrass to rockpools, learn about the fascinating marine life beneath the waves in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park at one of the Box’s free drop-in sessions this Easter.

Or if you fancy something different, why not hire bikes at Barnstaple station with Tarka Bikes and explore the Tarka Trail, or take a walk on Dartmoor from Okehampton station?
