Celebrate East Devon’s finest food and crafts on Saturday 10th August as Honiton High Street is transformed with stalls and entertainments for Gate to Plate. Visit the event’s Facebook page for a taster of just some of the top local businesses who will be there.

The free, one-day street market – which runs from 10 until 4 – began last year when its top quality produce and traditional crafts attracted guests including HRH The Prince of Wales. Now it’s back for 2019 and is easy to get to by train:

• The high street is just a short walk from Honiton station
• Hourly direct trains from Exeter Central and Exeter St David’s take under 30 minutes
• The Super-Off Peak Day Return from Exeter costs just £6.50.
• 5-15 year olds are half price and under 5s travel free
