The 5 longest station names on Devon & Cornwall’s branch lines

Time to get nerdy. Jot down what you think might be the five longest station names on the two counties’ branch lines. Then scroll down this page to see how many you got right.

While they’re not quite in Wales’ league, there are still some very respectable contenders – with the longest weighing in at 26 characters, including spaces. Good luck!

Drum roll, please…

1. St Keyne Wishing Well Halt
on the Looe Valley Line (Liskeard-Looe)

2. St Budeaux Victoria Road
on the Tamar Valley Line (Plymouth-Gunnislake)

3. Coombe Junction Halt
on the Looe Valley Line (Liskeard-Looe)

4. Lympstone Commando
on the Avocet Line (Exeter-Exmouth)

5. Lympstone Village
on the Avocet Line (Exeter-Exmouth)

How many did you get right? Let us know in the comments back on our Facebook post.

And yes, you do get a bonus point if you spotted that the image at the top of the page is in fact Perranwell on the Maritime Line between Truro and Falmouth. Good work!
