Barnstaple’s Real Food Market – this Sunday on the Tarka Line

This article is more than 6 years old.

Barnstaple’s lively Real Food Market is back this Sunday 11th March in the beautiful pannier market in the centre of the town.

The event is a mix of traditional farmers’ market stalls selling a wide range of local produce from vegetables, fish and seafood to breads and cheeses, and a street food market where visitors can enjoy food from all over the world.

There’s live music and a laid back vibe so for any foodies out there, it’s a must.

The market takes place on the 2nd Sunday of each month and runs from 10 00 to 15 00.

The best train to catch from Exeter Central is the 11 59 (12 05 from Exeter St Davids) which gets to Barnstaple at 13 16.

It’s then a 15-minute walk to the Pannier Market (see map). Perfect to work up an appetite in time for lunch.

Return trains are at 15 43, 17 13 and 18 14.

The train costs £10.70 return.

Bon appetit!
