Visit the Great Cornish Food Festival by train

This article is more than 6 years old.

This weekend, Truro’s Lemon Quay is the place to be for all foodies as the largest event dedicated solely to Cornish food and drink takes place in the city.

Opening on Friday 22nd September, the Great Cornish Food Festival lasts for three days and features a rolling programme of demonstrations, masterclasses, tastings and tutorials from local chefs such as Michelin starred Nathan Outlaw.

There will be an outdoor street food market, a bar serving Cornish drinks, a variety of stallholders serving freshly prepared hot and cold food and the popular Truro Farmers’ Market will be trading on the Saturday.

Foodie events come thick and fast this autumn with the Falmouth Oyster Festival from 12-15 October where food is joined by musical entertainment as well.

Truro gets very busy for the food festival so the best way to arrive is by train and if the events whets your appetite for more fantastic foodie places to discover, then check out our Maritime Line Foodie Guide  for inspiration.
