Drive to Liskeard station (PL14 4DX) and take the scenic branch line to Looe. It’s a great way to swap parking headaches for glorious estuary views. Read on to plan your trip.

Parking:
Liskeard station is easy to find (PL14 4DX – see Google Map). The car park opposite Platform 3 has 80 spaces. It costs £1.30 to park all day if you arrive after 10am or any time at weekends (if you arrive before 10am on weekdays it is £2.10). Pay by coins or mobile phone.
Train tickets:
Buy your ticket at Liskeard station ticket office or ticket machine, then go to Platform 3 (down the slope). Adult £4.60, child (5-15) £2.30, under 5s free. Groups of 3 to 9 people buying their tickets together get a third off thanks to the GroupSave discount.
Train times:
From Monday to Saturday trains run roughly every hour until early evening. Reduced Sunday service (until 21 October 2018).
In Looe:
From Looe station it is an 8-minute walk into town, signposted from the station, or 10 minutes to the beach.
