Assisted travel

Getting help to travel

If you need assistance (for example help getting on or off a train, with your luggage, or if you require ramps for a wheelchair), it is recommended to contact the train operator at least 48 hours in advance where possible:

All three operators carry wheelchair ramps on board their trains. Station or on-train staff can help wheelchair users to board. Find out maximum dimensions and other information in the wheelchair and mobility scooter policies on Great Western Railway, South West Trains and CrossCountry services.
